Privacy Policy

Blanchard Group (Blanchard Ready Mix Ltd.) ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This statement explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to any information you provide to us.

1. Information we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the contact details you provide (your name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number) and the contents of your message, so we can respond to your inquiry.

If you agree to receive text messages from us, we collect your mobile phone number, your consent to receive text messages, and the text messages we exchange with you.

When you visit, we also collect limited technical information automatically:

  • Usage and technical data: information such as your approximate location, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through Google Analytics, and only if you accept analytics cookies (see the Cookies section below).
  • Security data: information collected by Google reCAPTCHA to protect our contact form from spam and abuse.

2. Why we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your request.
  • Send you text messages you have agreed to receive (see section 11).
  • Understand how visitors use this website so we can improve its content, navigation, and performance (through Google Analytics).
  • Maintain the security and proper operation of this website.
  • Meet our obligations under applicable privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

3. Consent

By providing your information to Blanchard Group, you consent to its collection and use for the purposes above. Where the law requires explicit, written, or separate consent for a specific use, we will ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer (section 8). You can also stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP (section 11). Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to deliver the services you have asked for.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only:

  • With Google Analytics, which processes technical data to help us understand website traffic and usage patterns, and only if you accept analytics cookies. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • With the service providers that host this website and deliver our email, which access information only as needed to operate the site and the contact form, and are bound by appropriate confidentiality terms.
  • With the service provider that operates our phone and text messaging system, which processes your phone number and messages only as needed to deliver our messages on our behalf, and is bound by appropriate confidentiality terms.
  • Where required or permitted by law, including in response to a lawful request from a public authority.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

This website links to external sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Where your information is stored

Your information is stored in Canada whenever possible. Some service providers may process limited technical information (for example, web analytics) outside Canada. Where this happens, the information is subject to the laws of the country where it is processed, including lawful access by authorities in that country.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by your browser. We group cookies into two categories:

  • Necessary cookies are required for the site to work, for example to keep the site secure, process contact form submissions, and remember your consent preferences. Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact form from spam and abuse, is also included in this category. These are always on and cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose. These cookies are off by default.

Analytics cookies are loaded only after you accept them. Until you make a choice, only necessary cookies run, and Google Consent Mode v2 keeps ad_storage and analytics_storage set to denied.

You can change your choices at any time by clicking the Cookie preferences button at the bottom of any page. Clearing your cookies will reset your preferences and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this statement and to meet any record retention obligations that apply to us. Records are retained for seven (7) years, after which they are destroyed or anonymized in a secure manner. Website analytics data is retained for fourteen (14) months.

8. Your rights and our Privacy Officer

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdraw your consent and ask us to stop using your information.
  • Receive a copy of your information in a structured format, where the law requires it.
  • File a complaint about how we have handled your information.
